Session Abstract:
Wellbeing is a sign of a functional society, and as more of our social connectivity is facilitated in internet based services, businesses, and platforms, digital wellbeing becomes a measurable factor of our overall wellbeing.
While most digital literacy training is focused on knowing how to sniff out a phishing email, or how to clear one’s cache and cookies, rarely are modern applications of online use and misuse given adequate time or resources in classes. And yet, how we interface with technology on a day to day has significant impacts on our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
In this discussion, and research evidence based, session we’ll cover the many different applications of digital wellbeing, and overarching themes of digital wellbeing that can be integrated into a myriad of extension programming topics.
